“One of These Days” is a story that was written by Gabriel Garcia Marquez who was one of the best writers in Colombia.
This story is very interesting because the author narrates the meeting of a humble dentist with the mayor of the town.
In this story the author through the paragraphs and the style of his words manages to show us the corruption and injustice that the people of the town live because of the mayor.
Also the author shows how the mayor with his power and his threats achieves everything he wants, including the dentist to help him alleviate a pain that has tormented him for days.
